At MSUMC we enjoy the sounds of southern gospel music and occasionally have the opportunity to host very talented as well as truly Christian gospel groups.
As you watch this page on our website you will see from time to time an annoucement of a group that is coming, maybe with a video or a report of a group that has just been with us.
Our church and visitors were greatly blessed by the song and comedy of "Sunday Drive" band.
And Wesley Putnam taught the children (and adults) the books of the Old Testament in song.
Forgiven Quartet held a free concert on Sept. 25, 2016 at MSUMC . Forgiven Quartet has been spreading the good news of Jesus Christ through song and testimony for 35 years with an emphasis on the smooth harmonies exemplifying southern gospel music. Typically presenting more than 100 concerts per year, they have also released fourteen full-length recording projects with ten songs receiving significant air-play on several Christian music stations across the nation including “God’s Gonna Do It Again”, “Where The Battle Is Won,” “But For A Cross,” which also charted on The Singing News Top 80 Chart for 2012, “Live The Gospel,” “Straiten’ It Out,” and “There’s Still A Hope,” Their most recent radio releases include “Count It All Joy”, “Destination Known”, “His Hand On Me” and “Miracle”. Current members of the group are Mark Brooke (tenor) from Bartlesville, OK, Mark Green (lead) from Owasso, OK, David Buckingham (baritone/bass player) from Tulsa, OK and Bink Mooney (bass) from Lawton, OK.
